Celebrity Crush vol.1 – Blonde Ambition

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Hello:

I have something to get off my chest. I want to reveal my first in a long line of celebrity “crushes”. No, it’s not Julia Roberts or Megan Fox. If you say Halle Berry or J-Lo, then I will say that you obviously read chapter 1 of my book Finding Your S.M.I.L.E. (cheap plug: it’s available at www.AP3media.com).

Here it is: Nancy O’ Dell.

Am I crazy? Judge for yourself (http://www.nancyodell.com/). Is it the blonde hair? Is it the fact that she meets all the celebrities on Access Hollywood? Is it the fact she is from South Carolina, and therefore, close to Myrtle Beach and many, many golf courses?

Happiness

Friday, July 17th, 2009

The following are key questions you must ask yourself every 2-3 days in order to evaluate your happiness.

Everyone wants to be happy. I hope. However, what is the best way to get there? Obviously, reading my book Finding Your S.M.I.L.E. will help you formally develop a plan and achieve your objectives.

In addition, to find happiness, you must have an answer to the following questions:

  1. What do I do for fun?
  2. What did I do that was really fun today?
  3. When was the last time I smiled and when was the last time I had a good laugh?

If it takes you longer than 3.14 seconds to answer these questions, then there is a problem.

Got Smile?

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

You have probably noticed by now that I like the word “smile”. I like the word because it’s simple and yet powerful. It’s simple because anyone can smile and it doesn’t cost anything. Yet it is so powerful because it can change your day in an instant. Smiling means happiness, and happy people are fun to be around. Since smiling is contagious, you should smile (genuinely) throughout the day since it keeps your spirits up and brightens the day of those around you.

I remember growing up, McDonald’s (www.mcdonalds.com) actually had listed “smiles” on their menu with a price of “free”. I thought that was such a clever concept since there is rarely anything free on any menu. Also, how many people actually took the time to read the entire menu and notice that small, inconspicuous addition? It was like an inside joke for McDonald’s customers.

So, make an effort and smile to those around you and I guarantee it will make your day better and help make the day of everyone else your meet better too.

Introduction

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Hello and welcome to my blog.

It took me a long time to decide how to start this thing since I had no clue what to write about. And then, I remembered what it is I always tell myself (and this idea is also discussed in my book Finding Your S.M.I.L.E.): “When you don’t know how to start something, then the best thing to do is to just start it”. Translation: Don’t think too much, just do it and the rest will flow.

This reminds of something a colleague of ours named Leo used to say: “It’s not how far you go, but how go you far”. (NOTE: His quote is of a rhetorical nature so please do not spend too much time analyzing it.)

I hope you enjoy the blog.

Ciao.
